We are starting a Community Garden project in Albany and are planning to have four small gardens around town this summer and fall. If you are interested in helping in the garden or perhaps have knowledge that you would like to share with other gardeners, please plan to attend one of our open meetings to find out what’s happening. We want this to be a community activity that will be beneficial for everyone!
Produce from two of the gardens will be given to the food pantry, plots for personal use will be available in one garden, and the last garden is a pollinator garden that will be dedicated to beautification and teaching gardening techniques.
We will be meeting in the Town Hall (meeting room behind the Municipal Office) on Saturday 5/20 from 1 – 2 pm and on Wednesday 5/24 from 6 – 7pm. Please plan to attend one or both of these meetings. Everyone is welcome to join us in this new adventure.
