We will be celebrating July 4th on Saturday June 29th with activities throughout the day and fireworks at dusk.

There will be activities on Friday June 28th also – A town rummage sale during the day and a dance & music at the Albany American Legion at 7:00pm.

We are once again asking for donations to help offset the cost of the fireworks. Donations may be made at the Municipal Office. Our goal is to raise $5,000 as we have in the last few years. Click the following link Fireworks Donations-062519 to see donations received as of June 25th.

Town rummage sales will continue on Saturday at residents homes. The committee does not have a list of residents who will be having rummage sales.

The Fire Department will be having their annual hog roast as well as hosting a car, motorcycle and antique tractor show along Mississinewa and Water Street around the big park from 11am – 6pm. Lunch will be served at the shelter house in the Water Street Park. Cars will need to enter at Mississinewa & State Street to check in. Proof of insurance is required. They will be given instructions on where to park at check in. We would love to see your car in the show!

The All About Albany Nonprofit will be organizing booths that will be set up on Water Street  during the car show. Vendors are to enter at Water & State and will be given directions on where to set up. If you or your organization would like to have a booth, please contact stephburns06@gmail.com for details. Applications are also available to pick up in the Municipal office from 8:30am – 4:30pm.

There will be games for children and families at the Water Street Park from 1 – 3pm.

We will have a free concert with Seth Cook and Greg Rhodes beginning at 7pm and going until the fireworks display starts at dusk. The concert will be held at the softball diamond. The best vantage point to watch the concert and the fireworks is in the grass area outside the ball diamonds. The Dairy Dream, Pete’s Bar & Grill, Pizza King and the Village Pantry will be open for refreshments.

Remember to bring your lawn chair and bug spray!
