Permit Application
Planning to install a fence, deck, garage, or shed? You need a building permit before starting. All construction requires a permit.
Applications are available at the Municipal Office the Municipal Office (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM) or can be downloaded below. Each application includes instructions on the required information. Please review the application and have all required documents before attending a meeting.
To get approval, bring your completed permit and documents in person to a Planning Commission meeting on the 1st or 3rd Thursday of the month at 7 PM in Town Hall (behind the Municipal Office). Meeting dates are listed on our online calendar. Parking is available behind the building.
Before applying, schedule a utility locate through Indiana 811 (indiana811.org). Allow 2 days for utilities to be marked before digging.
Do not start construction until your permit is approved. If changes are needed, you will be responsible for any additional costs. For questions, leave a message at the Municipal Office: 765-789-6112.

Ordinances
Town ordinances are local laws or regulations enacted by a town’s governing body, such as a town council or board of trustees.
